The Knomes were out at Smiths/kroger last night... so the new pricing should be out. Someone suggested that wed morning was when the staff had parties...

Well that is week one of the blog, I'm dying for some feedback. I assume that you know something about coupons. I spent my evening at Smiths and Harmons.

I had a buy 5 uncle ben's instant rice coupon get $1.25 off coupon. = .75 each after coupon

I had a Knorr pasta or rice sides coupon.. or a couple of them = .75 each after coupon. These coupons didn't say "fiesta sides" or "asian sides" I would have like to have tried them. I also had the .50 off ragu pasta sauce =.68 each after coupon.

Other than that I filled up my freezer with the On-Cor ribs and lasagna. $1.79 each.

Then I went to harmons to load up on Totino's Crisp Crust Party Pizza buy 4/$1 coupon and Totino's Pizza Rolls they are .75 cents each. I think I had some other coupons that got them to .70 each. I like harmons... it's just expensive.

We have a big game day insert... or ex-sert and a the big mix and match on meat.

Last time I saw the "pick 4" I didn't see one item in the items that I would pay the price for. I felt this little gimic is for silly people and for Harmons marketing department to feel like they have a purpose.

First good deal is on the Red Baron Pizza.

My Smiths/Kroger deals

Because of my shopping prowess I seem to shop for a few families. This is what I picked up this morning.... at 7am *eye roll*

Smiths/Kroger carry the On-Cor Entree's some for $2.25 and some for $2.75 (lasagna).

This isn't the worst price most stores price them from $3-$4(which I would never pay... they aren't that good, but kids tend to enjoy them.

Right now on their buy 10 items get $5.00 off sale, they are going for $1.78 each.

I looked for a coupon but they just aren't out there, as I can find. I picked up 10 of them.

There is a Honey bunches of oats coupon for $1.00 off 1 box. In the new ad they are $2.00 each. With the coupon that is $1.00 each

I picked up 3 boxes, which was all the coupons I had.... also like everyone else who coupons enough... I have enough cereal to last through a year.. if not two.

But $1.00 to buy 18 oz of cereal was hard to pass up.

Digiorno Pizza is $4.50, these are actually a favorite of mine... if I ate pizza (this is very true) There used to be a coupon for $2.00 off on their facebook page, "take the digiorno challenge/pledge to not order pizza". That would make the pizza's $2.50, Under $3.00 is where I bite on this particular pizza deal. Unfortunately I ran out of those coupons, but I did have a buy 2 get $2.00 off, so I picked 2 of them up for $3.50 :( . Yes.... I was ok, with buying them at that price.. my stock of them was getting low. Kids who are good, get a pizza every week.... Kids who throw things at their mother.... do not... but that is another story.

Ragu Pasta sauce. is $1.18 I had a coupon for $55 cents off. That is .63 each.

The coupon came in the circulars this weekend. even without a coupon that is an excellent price... even for generic pasta sauce... I of course make my own... but ...

Armor Meatballs. they are $2.00 if you buy 2. I had a Dollar off coupon which got me $1.50 on 12 oz... it's still not great but my rule of thumb is if meatballs are cheaper than ground beef.

There are some good deals on uncle ben's rice... also on cups of mac and cheese... if you let anyone eat that crap which even at .50 for a single serving seems expensive to me.

Smiths/Kroger pricing Blackhole

I managed to go out and try and grab some stuff at midnight last night. I have been staying up watching the Australian Open. I came to learn that Smiths has a pricing black-hole between Midnight on Wednesday until 7am... apparently nothing is on sale at that time... I felt like I was in the twilight zone or something... it was like when all the snack items come alive and have little battles with frozen foods... and nobody is there to see it.

ok... here is one of my big issues... Listen.. if you are going to give yourself 7 hours to change prices... stop changing them at 10pm the night before... and... how if you have them changed by 7am. I have seen the prices at Smiths be changed as early as 9pm on many items and end up fooled at the register, and what Smiths Checkout woman is going to let me argue false advertising? What they will do is make me feel guilty about dropping a bunch of items on them to return to the shelves at 10pm.

New blog

I'm hoping to do some coupon matchups for Harmons and Reams and Maceys grocery stores.

These matchups arn't represented in the coupon blog culture Since I do them, I figured I would post them. I also find that they are more susceptible to the coupon crazies since they arn't on every blog on the planet.

I've found they kind of freak out when I show up with 20 General mills coupons... it's kind of fun.
